ERICK SERMON: CONCEPTS A NEW ALBUM

EPMD’s Erick Sermon is currently in the studio working on his latest album ‘The E True Hip-Hop Story’. A concept album of sorts, the Funk Lord has promised to “explain from 1988 to 2007” and, as the title of the project suggests, tell the story of hip-hop.

“It’s all young kids at the shows I’m doing now,” the Def Squad leader recently said on Allhiphop.com.

“Kanye West, Common, Lupe Fiasco, Busta Rhymes, Nas, these guys are doing strictly hip-hop music and these kids like it. Don’t tell me there’s no place for it.”
