WARNER BROS.: PAIN, PRIDE AND DESTRUCTION
Warner Bros. Records has set a deal with entertainment industry executive Stan Sheppard to launch a new music label, that will fund the national anti-gang organisation " Amer-I-Can / Unity One Foundation for Social Change" with it's sales makings.
A series of R'n'B and Rap compilation cd's are to be released with guest appearances deom Snoop Dogg, Ice Cube, Akon, Lil Wayne and Bone Thugs n Harmony plus Kurupt.
The musical project's objective, in conjunction with it's initiator the National Anti-Gang Organisation, is to target Afro-American and Latino gang members and reduce or even stop the violence occuring within the younger generations of the US. The organisation also supports communities by providing "life skills" training courses.
Supporters of the Anti-gang Foundation include celebrities such as Magic Johnson, George Foreman, Spike Lee and Denzel Washington.
The first release from the "Amer-I-Can... for social change" is entitled "Bangin...The Big Lie... Pain, Pride and Destruction" and is due to hit US stores in September 2007.
