THE INVISIBLE PLAYERS: RIZLA ANNOUNCE UNIQUE COLLECTIVE
Continuing to explore the theme of inspiration in music, Rizla has delved into their heritage recreating an original travelling music van from the 1920’s. They are reinventing this along with a new collective of creative legends, titled ‘The Invisible Players’ to host parties from the van across the UK. Playing side by side and choosing from an unrivalled, eclectic record collection, they will play spontaneous and inspiring sets.
The name might suggest something transient….the music Definitely isn’t. The 'Invisible Players inspired-by Rizla' are announced today as a new ‘creative collective’ to front Rizla’s ‘inspired-by’ campaign. Selected for their reputation as creative leaders within their own fields and all heavily influenced by music, this new collective of four renowned individuals share an impressive combined CV stretching music, film, illustration, art and design.

Rizla are reinventing the van in 2007 and getting back on the road to bring an all-new music party to clubs and festivals across the UK throughout the year. Details of clubs and festivals are yet to be announced but the first chance to see the Invisible Players will be at Electric Chair, Manchester on 6th May for a special bank holiday party.
The Invisible Players will play eclectic sets and feature music from many genres, eras and countries. There will be no prepared set lists, just pure improvisation and live interaction between the two DJ’s who will play in pairs. The sound could vary from Dub, Electrofunk, Reggae, Psychedelic Rock, Ska – the roots of popular music as we know it.
Rizla’s ‘inspired-by’ is a diverse programme of music events that celebrate inspirations in music from the past and present through the talent of today. Rizla’s Invisible Players will continue their reputation for putting on the liveliest parties and championing great music.
